How to Prepare Immune-Boosting Shots at Home

  1. Add the oranges, lemons, ginger, turmeric, black pepper and water to a blender. Blend until mostly smooth.
  2. Place a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl or measuring cup. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer, pressing with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp or save it for another use.
  3. Pour 1–2 ounce servings into small glasses and enjoy immediately.
  4. Store any remaining mixture in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to a week.

What Homemade Ginger Immunity Shots Do For You

  • Oranges: Packed with vitamin C, a key antioxidant that supports immune function.
  • Lemons: Provide additional vitamin C and a bright, tangy flavor that complements the other ingredients.
  • Ginger root: Known for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and adds warming spice.
  • Turmeric: Contains curcumin, a polyphenol with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects; pairing with black pepper improves absorption.
  • Black pepper: Enhances the bioavailability of turmeric’s active compounds.

While these shots are not a cure-all, they offer a concentrated dose of immune-supporting nutrients and anti-inflammatory compounds. They work best alongside a balanced diet, good sleep, regular hydration and other healthy habits.

I enjoy these wellness shots any time of year, especially during the colder months or when I need an extra immune boost.
