Materials:

- Green paint

- Rubber bands
Crepe paper flowers step by step:
- Paint the skewers green and allow them to dry. If using floral wire, you can skip painting.
- Cut several strips of crepe paper about 2″ wide and 4″ long. Stack and fold them twice. Using 6–8 layers gives a nicely full flower.
- With the folded stack, trim a V shape at each end to form petal tips.
- Carefully unfold the layers while keeping them stacked. Pinch the center with your fingers, then fold upward from the middle so the petals form a small bouquet shape.
- Compress the base of the bouquet and secure it tightly with a rubber band.
- Cut a strip of green crepe paper about 1″ wide and 6″ long. Glue one end to the base and wrap it around to cover the rubber band and a bit of the skewer. Press the end down to secure it to the stem.
- Gently separate and ruffle the petal layers to shape the bloom. Add leaves if desired, and arrange your flowers in a vase.
