How to Make a Pineapple Orange Smoothie

Making this smoothie is straightforward: zest and peel the orange, then add the orange, chia seeds, yogurt, ice, coconut milk, frozen pineapple, and kiwi to a blender. Blend on high until smooth.

Adjust consistency by adding more frozen pineapple or ice for thickness, or more coconut milk or pineapple juice for a thinner texture.

This is a brief overview—refer to the printable recipe card below for exact quantities and step-by-step instructions.

Can I Add Other Fruits?

Absolutely. The pineapple and orange base is lovely on its own, but you can substitute or add any tropical fruit you like—mango, papaya, or extra kiwi work well.

What Type of Coconut Milk Should I Use?

I prefer carton coconut milk for a lighter smoothie texture. Canned coconut milk will make the drink richer and creamier with a stronger coconut flavor, which is also delicious if that’s your preference.

Tips for Making a Pineapple Orange Smoothie

  • This version is made without banana, but feel free to add a fresh or frozen banana for extra creaminess.
  • Enjoy the smoothie right away for best texture; leftovers can be frozen and blended again later.
  • Orange zest really amplifies the citrus flavor—don’t skip it if you want a bright orange punch.
